Attend this luncheon to hear an overview of the Pennsylvania Community Foundation Association (PACFA), whose 35 members manage more than $5 billion in philanthropic assets. The presentation will explain how individual community foundations work with donors and professional advisors, describe the value they add, and highlight how community foundations differ from commercial gift funds. It will also present examples of community leadership initiatives and non-traditional impact investing models.

In addition, the session will describe recent PACFA legislative successes, including the elimination of scholarship displacement in Pennsylvania public colleges and universities and the passage of Act 50, which changed intestate rules when a Pennsylvania resident dies without a will and with no family. Finally, members will be educated about a Transfer of Wealth Study and the PA Giving Pledge www.pagivingpledge.org

Presented by Michael Batchelor.
