DiPaolo, CRE, Partner, Siegel Jenning Co.](https://www.siegeltax.com/team/sharon-f-dipaolo-cre)\n \nIn November 2022, an Allegheny County Judge ruled that the County had “cooked the books” in its sales validation process, artificially inflating assessment-to-market-value ratio by over 17 percentage points.  Because of these actions by the County, taxpayers who participated in assessment appeals since 2017 paid more taxes than they should have.  This session will discuss the many corrections that have been enacted to Allegheny County’s system as a result of this ruling, which continue to the present, to bring Allegheny County into compliance with the law and Constitution.\n
